PROBE Conference March 27/28 2010 – Lytham St Annes Nr Blackpool

The conference started at 10.30 on Saturday morning, Sam and Jean had suggested arriving early to get a parking space and to set up my table where I would be selling my books. Speaker Tony Topping was also staying at the same hotel and I gave him a lift to the YMCA venue. Jean had given us a map and told us it should take under 5 minutes. We ended up having a fun mini tour of the area, which was very nice, somehow managing to avoid the right turning until we spotted other residents of the hotel and followed them!
The hall had already started to fill as Tony helped me to unload my books before he headed off to test out his Superman outfit. There were lots of great stalls in the hall area including aura photography, crystals, Megalithic Tours and Mike Oram selling his book and many others at very reasonable prices. At 10.30 the first speaker was introduced and everyone settled down for an interesting talk by Kevin Rowan Druitt on the subject of Stonehenge.

I did wonder briefly what the rest of the population would have been up to early on a Saturday morning whilst I was surrounded my like minded folk and listening to the history of Stonehenge, shopping probably! Kevin’s talk was very interesting and a great start to the weekend.

We had a short break before Andrew Johnson’s talk about the possibility of life on Mars and those mysterious photographs from the Viking explorer. He shared some photographs that I had not seen before regarding a mysterious T shaped structure on Mars. Andrew explained how he had tried to contact some mainstream scientists to ask what they made of the images but the response was disappointing. One of the few scientists that responded at all emailed Andrew that he did not buy into conspiracy theories. A strange response when Andrew had asked his scientific opinion and had not mentioned conspiracy at all.

After lunch Superman arrived in the shape of Tony ‘Neo’ Topping, www.etlife.co.uk. It was a great way to get the audience’s attention. Tony talked of some of his experiences and how his contact with the intelligence services began with the filming of UFOs in 1999. He also shared some insights into how symbolism is used in the mass media and pop industry to influence our minds.

The final speaker of the day was Nigel Mortimer, http://psychiceye.jimdo.com. Nigel shared his background regarding his guide Sharlek and how he had been directed to channel his guide. He then entered into an altered state and allowed his guide to speak through him and shared insights about coming changes. There were some interesting photographs taken of orbs which hopefully Sam and Jean will be able to post on their site.

We then went back to the Hotel for dinner where some very interesting tales were shared over a very lovely meal. Stories included healing, The Philadelphia Experiment and 2012 amongst others. Once finished we went up to the bar to share further stories and relax with the other attendees.

Sunday morning started sluggishly as most people were feeling the loss of the hour that marks the beginning of the ironically titled ‘British Summer Time’. Eventually we all finished breakfast and headed to the venue where several attendees and Jean started the morning with a round of drumming which was fantastic. The first speaker was Darren Deogee, http://www.alternativeanswers.net/new/about-me/, who talked about the concept of ‘Goo’. Although it sounds like a strange concept at first he explained how this could be the ‘Word’ that was in the beginning that has been misinterpreted as God. He discussed signposts and how we as humans come to apply meaning and understanding to people, places and feelings.

Next up was yours truly, I was very nervous about whether the technology would work but thanks to the help of Phil, the IT guy and Dex Dobie, I was all set. I talked about my dream research, how I began to research dream s and some of the insights that I had uncovered. Around half way through the battery died in the microphone, which strangely also happened at the Cornwall UFO Conference in October 2009. At the end of my talk I was approached by several people who shared their dream tales and also asked me further questions about my work. It was great to interact with so many like minded people, sometimes writing and researching can be a solitary experience so it was great to get out there and share it. My website is www.knightjourney.co.uk.

After lunch was Richard D Hall of www.richplanet.net who gave a very interesting talk covering crop circle maker conspiracy theory as well as talking about the hippocampus and long term memory. Richard explained that more than 95% of crop circles were man made but that the investment in keeping the project alive must have cost around 12 million from 1995 to present. He believes that intelligence services are funding this deception in order to detract the public from the true phenomenon and he quite rightly said that so far they had been successful. He then talked about the concept of long term memory and the function of the hippocampus.

The final speaker of the day was Dex Dobie who shared his insights into the subject of Planet X. He started by talking about the Hopi Blue Star Kachina prophecy, which is one of my favourites. He then shared a wealth of information about the changes we are likely to see. Optimistically he explained that the prospects for humanity were not all doom and gloom and that we do have an influence over our own future survival. His information shows that through understanding ourselves, our true nature, we can come to work with planet Earth and intergalactic beings to turn things around.

All told it was a fantastic weekend, I often think it would be great if there was time, to allow each member of the audience a slot to tell their own story about why they were there and what had happened to them. It would be interesting to hear how each person’s journey had brought them to Probe and what they had learned in attending. Sam and Jean are great conference organisers, I’m not sure where they get the energy to organise 2 conferences a year but I’m sure they get out of it as much as they put in with the wealth of information amongst the guests and speakers.

Next Probe conference takes place in October 2010

Review by Steve Johnson at Mercury Rapids

Have you had dreams that seem particularly pertinent to your life? Of course you have. We all have. Most of our dreams, though, manifest as odd vignettes, with strange events, people or places mixing together to make us wake up and think, “That was a weird dream!”

Samantha Carr’s dreams have shaped her life. She records her dreams with pen and paper and finds that they very often help her to come to terms with events that happen on a day-to-day basis. Sometimes her dreams seem to be premonitions of things that have not yet occurred.

A Knight Journey is the first of Samantha’s books to explore the world of dreams and the importance of our night-time adventures. She takes us on a very personal journey through her life, explaining how dreams, her growing mediumistic skills and spirituality have affected her over the years.

She has learned how to interpret her dreams and explains how we can do the same, using symbology, history, current affairs and a ton of literary references.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading A Knight Journey and really felt as though I was there with Samantha as she led us through key points in her life and the changes they brought.

This short review really does not do the book justice and I heartily recommend that everybody read it. Your dreams will never seem the same again.

Review by Roy Hale Down To Earth Magazine Editor.

When I received Samantha Carr's book my mind was met with an eager anticipation of what I might expect to find buried deep inside the pages of this intriguing read. I can tell you that I was taken on a journey of complete wonderment! From the very first page where samantha describes to the reader what kind of a child she was, and how she would be doing the things that not every 'normal' child would be doing, but would shock her adult audience by having very early linguistic interactions about the events that she was seeing being played out before her very eyes as a small child growing up with a very 'different' perspective on life. The strange and mysterious events that samantha describes throughout her book is written in such a way that you are entirely placed alongside samantha as if it was happening to you at the same time.

This book does cover many angles in respect of the path which samantha has taken in her personal life and one cannot help but having a pleasant admiration for samantha when you also realize the bold steps that she taken upon herself when she suddenly felt the need to follow her inner voice and the circumstances she found herself in after doing so. For anyone who has read much about modern mysteries, whether this be UFOs, Ghost, ESP,Spiritualism and the odd conspiracy you will be more than happy to know that during the reading of this book samantha will take you on a personal journey that will bring these many facets of our lives to life when reading this book. This is quite a 'No Holds Barred' book written from the first perspective and this is perhaps why you find yourself as the reader warming to the character of samantha so much whilst reading the book.

Samantha discloses many aspects of her life, her way forward even when times were hard and the path was not clear ahead, but you will be mostly kept into a gripping read when you begin to read about the 'paranormal & spiritual' events that samantha begins to disclose to the reader. From meeting UFO experiences, to spiritual meetings of minds and for amazing life changing synchronicity A Knight Journey will bring more than just a pleasant warm feeling to your reading time, but perhaps a wider perspective on just how amazing this world can be when you have been given the tools that allow you to explore the 'other' sides to the mysterious parts of our life's and beyond!

I highly recommend you purchase this book and start A Knight Journey with Samantha Carr in your own time and space.
